Club Basketball
Founder & President, 2014 - Present
Started in October of 2014, Dickinson College's Club Basketball team provides all members of the community with a space to improve themselves on and off the court. We're a tight-knit group of athletes who travel across the mid-west and east coast to compete in tournaments against Division1 & 3 schools. As Founder & President, I created recruitment strategy to gain over 100 new members within our first semester. I lead our exec team to work towards our goals of competing at a higher level, attending more tournaments while overseeing all aspects of the club. Our exec team works with administrations to schedule court & practice time, manages a $2,000 budget for travel, equipment, and tournaments, and tries to foster a fun culture in which all members strive to better themselves and represent the college in a positive way.

Dickinson's Sports Club Council presides over all sports clubs on campus. It mediates communication between faculty and students and serves as a liaison between the sport clubs, the Office of Intramurals & Recreation, Division of Student Development, and the college. As part of the executive committee, our team manages a budget of over $200,000 each year to promote sportsmanship, leadership, competitive spirit, and fun among clubs. We allocate the annual budget to fund the sport clubs and plan events increase student involvement in athletics.
